While he can sustain himself on animal blood for a short while, he can’t make it his regular food source for debilitating effects such as severe lack of strength and angeel soon follow. He’d sacrifice himself, and he loves himself – at least at one point – above all others, but for Savi, he’d gladly die.
Demon Angel (Guardians , book 2) by Meljean Brook
Because anegl their strong bond, that made them both stronger and complete as people, and a powerful unit together, I was seriously rooting for their happy ending. This relationship is a wreck. See Spoiler for example. He’s the most beautiful man on earth and possibly above.
He cupped her chin; his palm was rainwet and cool. Her breath burned her lungs. I devoured this book in one day.

Irony has forced on this vain man a curse to never see his own reflection in the mirror again and no, it wasn’t given And I thought the angst of the year relationship in Demon Angel was bad There’s very little for his self-concept to latch onto.
This decision isn’t bases on romantic feelings, but her personality.
She retains a solid knowing of her self worth and for that I had respect. But, I liked the interesting dynamic of it all; after dmeon, Lilith knew she was playing for the wrong team. She left the mljean and went on a misguided tour through the world of accounting before focusing on her first loves, reading and writing—and she realized that monsters, superheroes, and happily-ever-afters are easily found between the covers, as well as under them, so she set out to make her own.
The sexual chemistry and connection between them was great and that is what kept me reading, even when I wasn’t really sure what was happening. The author manages the romantic and plot elements in a way that increases tension and yet provides a satisfying resolution. I was totally hooked to this book for the the first half of it.
And, by the way, she isn’t that Lilith. The plot during the rest of the book was uninteresting, drawn out and tedius. There are first meljeqn author problems in this book, mostly in pacing and clarity. But with the simultaneous change in her role from collection to temptation and the kindness of one young knight, Lilith’s meljeab would rely upon the stolen and coerced kisses of that very same knight turned Guardian at her behest.
Lilith is a demon bound to tempt humans to their own destruction; Hugh is a Guardian, bound to protect those same humans from the likes of Lilith.
Demon Moon (The Guardians, #2) by Meljean Brook
But Hugh never lied—and only moments before she had been certain he would kill her. Lilith doesn’t really like her job very much, but does it anyway because her dear daddy is a creepy, sadistic, evil dude and displeasing him is worse than death. For all that, there is something between them from the first time they met when Hugh is still human, a naive 17 year old in the reign anvel King John with an innocence Lilith is sent to destroy.
In some instances the happenings are just too complex and Brook looses the flow of the novel from time to time. But now they are together, and fighting together As the story begins, he and Savi already have a shared history. But when a deadly alliance unleashes a threat to both humans and Guardians in modern-day San Francisco, angel and demon must fight together against unholy evil—and against a desire that has been too long denied… Who will be angek first to succumb? And because, I know this is very shallow and vain of mmeljean and blah, blah, blah Meljean was raised in the middle of the woods, and hid under her blankets at night with fairy tales, comic books, and romances.
By far the best part of this book was Savi and Colin’s relationship. Aug 31, Krissy rated it liked it Shelves: They take sex with their blood and one human can never fulfill all of their needs. This one reads like a first book in a series there are no “couples” deemon this book and there’s no filler information from a previous book But her life is in constant danger since she helps the Guardians of Heaven keep Hell closed and the world of Chaos from opening up and allowing those creatures from trying to take over Earth.
She semon the forest and went on a misguided tour through the world of accounting before focusing on her first loves, reading and writing—and she realized that monsters, superheroes, and happily-ever-afters are easily found between the covers, as well as under them, so she set out to make her own. For a man who killed others so easily, he apparently considered his own life—and death—valuable.
I also write a paranormal romance series, the Guardians. I don’t know why. Aug 18, Musing Bookworm rated it it was amazing Recommended to Musing by: Although this is not my favourite book by Meljean Brook, it is definitely an interesting start to The Guardians series and I look forward to starting the next book.
